Nalite is a great software. But in the couple of days i have been using it i found some
what i think annoying things.

1.
is it possible to implent a true shutdown ? Its annoying to have to power down
manually everytime. I for one is using my NAS only when i need files stored on it and then i shut it down.

If its hard to implent because backward compibality with AT PSU's. Is there a way to have an ON/OFF option inside Naslite that kan enable ATX support ?

2.

Maby its just me, but i find it hard to remember on what disk i put what file. Especially as i have 2 NASlite's running with same names on the disks.

Would it be possible to implent an option to rename or name the harddrives
when formatting ?
It would be easier on people who access my HTPC and wants to play a movie or some music if the disks had diffrent names like "music", "movies" or "pictures".

If I understand you request, you would like to name the mount points differently, correct? Well, if you're mounting on a windows system using SMB you could just rename the mount point under "My Computer", where you mapped the network drive. Just highlight the drive that you mounted and use the rename function.

If you're mounting on a *nix system use the appropriate facility to rename the mount point there. It should work just fine for you.

Hope that helps.

well im primarly a FTP user so i dont use SMB that often. SMB is fine in my homenetwork.
But of the 2 nas servers i have one is mobile. I.e. i often take it with me when i need it.

When using FTP i often mapp the disks directory as the main root. When accessing it form outside my network (i have a FTP server that points to my nas servers).
I dont want 8 drives to switch between.

Its easier for my ftp users to know where to find files and where to upload if
the drives had diffrent names.
But naming ussies aside, its not a major problem. Its just a bit annoying.

Still waiting for a answer to question number one though.

V2 will likely allow a proper ATX shutdown using the power switch.
