I built a USB version using an MSI motherboard, Model number MS6380

http://www.msicomputer.com/product/deta ... 66_Pro.htm

with an AMD XP 2000+ CPU and 512MB.

I also used a cheap USB memory drive i.e.. A Peak II USB 2.0 Flash Drive 128MB this is their web site.

http://www.peakhardware.com/

The only problem was that I was not able to select it in the BIOS configuration as a boot device. This was overcome by Formating the USB memory key as FAT in Windows XP.

Now I was able to to do the install as descibed in the installation manual.

This is a really nice I am really please with the result.

I hope that this helps, I am sure when people have instant success with this install they never think to supply any feedback to the forum.

So you are saying the motherboard does not have an option to boot from USB but it works? What did you set the boot sequence as?

Still tring to determine if my PC will boot from USB. It currenlty running NASLite+ fine form CD but I want to get rid of this. In the BIOSoptions under boot order it lists super floppy but does not say USB. Any chance this will work. Is there any way to test this PC before purchasing the NasLite USB program?
