Quick question:

I am considering the advantages of upgrading from Naslite 1.4 to Naslite 2.
If I do so, will it require my drives to be formatted?

Naslite2 does not need to format naslite1 drives and uses them outright. You can convert them to ext3 if you want by installing a journal on each drive. It's all a part of the naslite2 admin options.

Like dimension said, It will be seamless and safe. I have done it many times in the past with not an issue.
