I have built and maintained a NASlite machine for sometime now. I would like to have a second one built in order to mirror or backup the first. Is this necessary or can I simply install a second drive and somehow have NASLITE to backup the first drive to the second drive? Thanks in advance for your help. BTW, I'm using NASLITE-2 CDD.

You can use the mirror function within NASLite-2 to RSYNC the contents of one HDD to another daily. This is *not* the same as RAID-1 as it the data duplication is daily rather than simultaneous.

Thanks for the advice. But I have another question. Will the sync function work a Network drive that is not NASlite based (i.e., linksys, Buffalo, etc.)?
