At the moment i have a server with 3 hard drives connected to the motherboard IDE ports. I'm about to install a raid card with some additional drives in Raid 5. I intend keeping the old drives for the moment until i can get all the data copied across. As the existing drives are Disk-0, 1, 2, what will happen when i fit the new card and drive setup. Will the existing drives stay as they are and the new drive be Disk-3?

BTW it's a bit quiet round here at the minute.

I guess people are just not having problems with their Naslite servers. We all know we use the heck out of them ;)

The drives are numbered consecutively as the hardware is initialized, so you should end up with the RAID stuff after the IDE drives. Once you remove the IDE drives things will shift back starting from 0.
