NASLite Network Attached Storage

Have a M2 server running for the past 6 months, everything has been fine. 2 x 500 gig drives disk1 mirroring disk0. Couldnt access it yesterday from either PC PS3 or Laptop. eventually put monitor on server, it is booting but wont complete file system check on disk0 or disk1, beeps twice then just gives me a blank screen. Hard drive light stays on.

Lots of phots on disks could do with some help please.

How big are the disks and how much RAM do you have in the system? I had problems checking a 1.5TB array with 256MB of RAM onboard.

a 500gig could take an hour - second drive will not start disc check until first one completes - so if that one wants checking then a couple of hours

blank screen is probarbly just monitor going blank - try pressing a key - it should come back - and as NickC asks - how much ram in the system - the more the better on a disc check - too little and it may never complete

worry not it will complete and your files will be there

Machine back up and running fine, think i probably require some more ram, so will get that sorted.
