Licensing question - I can change the network info, license and unlock code. Save it all to floppy (CD Boot), and all is OK. If I enable both UPNP and DAAP, save and reboot, it no longer can read the configuration file. Tried this twice. It does not occur if I don't enable UPNP and DAAP. Did I skip over something I need to do?

Well the advise here would probably be to be sure to save the configuration before you reboot.

However I have the same problem as you.

Yesterday I switched the uPNP to XBOX compilant, saved the config and did a reboot and config was unreadable
Today I retried to get everyhing working and it did until I added the IP for a time server, saved the config and did a reboot.

There seem to be more people with this problem from what I can read here but the only advise I came up with at the moment was to be sure to save the configuration (which I'm sure I did, even twice yesterday to be sure).

Hope someone can help with this since it's becoming a real pain to have to configure and reboot all the time.

did you ever install naslite on any of the drives you have in the nas before you decided to go with the cd boot? I had a case where that was where the config was going.

I cannot speak for the OP but I don't use CD Boot (guess I even posted to the incorrect thread :( ).

My problem is that sometimes my config seems to be gone (I once switched the uPNP setting to XBOX which caused it and another time I added the IP of a NTP server which caused it).

I didn't even know there was a CD Boot option
