Hey guys whats up im really exited to get my nas box up and running but iv run into some problems.

when i try to install naslite-m2 when its at the part with black screen and says uncompressing kernal it says pci dev 00:13:0 is not an 8139c+ compatible Chip.
trying 8139cp driver or something like that.

then it goes into and checks system file and passes then trys to mount cd rom and then says "system going down!"
crashes there

when booting from cd it boots up and i get:

ieee1394 forced serialization something like that

Checking resources - done
detecting configuration - done
retreiving configuration - fail
setting defualt admin - done

then i log in using admin/nas

but i would like to get it installed so could any1 help me please!

Via KT400(a)/600 Chipset http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showproduct.php/product/226/cat/46

Your post is pretty cryptic so i'd guess you aren't from around here, but that's besides the point. In order to install you need a cdrom naslite installer can mount. Sounds line you don't have that. Try an ide cdrom and see how that does for you.

Are you pressing the "I" key during the boot to initiate an installation?

I think I gave up on a board that used that chipset for use in a NL install. As I recall it never would work right, but don't quote me on that. Try moving the NIC to a different PCI slot and make sure that all devices not needed are turned off in the BIOS. If that don't work then try the load in a different box and see if it works.
