NASLite Network Attached Storage

I set up NASLite on an HP 400 Celeron w/128MB RAM (using the FTP image). Setup and boot went smooth. However, I can't move files to or from the file server via FTP. I get the following error message:

An error creating a folder on the FTP Server. Make sure you have permission to put files on the server.
Details: 550 Create directory operation failed.

I tried running NASLite on a different box - no change. I have tried accessing the FTP with 2 different WinXP machines, and one W2K machine.
Anyone have any ideas?

You are the first to report this problem. Did you configure the drive using NASLite or was it an ext2 drive with content from another machine?

Let me take a look in the next few days and see if i can recreate that condition.

Are you trying to write to the FTP root, or are you trying to write to a Disk-X folder? The FTP root is read-only. You can write to the Disk-X folders only.

I just found that out today. I played around with it during lunch today and found that I couldn't modify any folders, or write anywhere except in the Disk-1 folder. Works like a champ now!
I'm constantly wiping my hard drive to try new versions of Linux on my machine. This looks like the perfect use for my old 133MHz 32MB system, so I don't have to keep writing everything to CD when I wipe my good system.
